Justin Pohl

Justin Pohl is a design professional who was born and raised in Overland Park, Kansas. He completed his Masters of Architecture (M.Arch) degree at Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kansas in 2013.

Early career

After graduating, Pohl relocated to Boulder, Colorado to pursue professional opportunities in design consulting. During the first eight years of his career, he worked on various projects spanning the United States, Canada, and Asia, establishing himself in the design field.

Career transition

Following disruptions in the industry during the COVID-19 pandemic, Pohl transitioned to a position as Facility Archive Coordinator with a school district in Boulder, Colorado. In this role, he collaborated with multiple departments including Bond, Planning, Environmental Services, Information Technology, and Transportation. His responsibilities included contributing to classroom restoration projects and participating in various planning initiatives.

Relocation

In early 2023, following an asbestos contamination incident in his Boulder residence that resulted in the loss of most personal possessions, Pohl and his wife purchased a home and relocated to Lee's Summit, Missouri. This move allowed them to be closer to family while pursuing new professional directions.
